It appears that the spotter network map isn’t working properly.  I’ve been looking into this and I’ve tried two different methods - still with no luck.  The original method used was from StormChase.com which uses Microsoft Virtual Earth – which seemed the easiest way – but the problem is that spotter locations aren’t displayed at all.

The second method I used was to replicate the Google Maps version which is used on the actual Spotter Network website.  In order to use this I had to generate a Google Maps API key for this domain and my user.  This enabled me to use Google maps on this domain and that worked, but yet again, I couldn’t display the spotter locations.  Pretty useless without those.  On the upside of this method, I was able to overlay NEXRAD data on the Google Map.

Nevertheless, no success yet.  I’ll keep plugging at it to see if I can figure it out.
